Thanks, Garold. Nice work on the midtones - I don't quite have an eye for the tones yet but I'm working on it. Every little bit helps.

I love this shot Dalila, and I can see why it’s a favorite spot. I would love to see it first hand. Photos should do that inspire one to see the sight themselves. Great composition with no distractions. I hope you don’t mind I did a little layering and worked on the midtones. I have attached it here. This is a great photograph.
Best Regards,
Garold

Very good shot.
Looks like a bit quicker shutter speed would have reduced the leg motion. Other than that this is fantastic with wonderful lighting.

Thanks Guy. I've only been twice now, each time seeing it from a different perspective (first time from a sky box, second time third row from the floor). It doesn't seem to matter, wherever you sit you get a great view of the show.

You did get some good ones, look forward to seeing more. Glad you liked the ones I shot. I don't think more people realize how tough it is to get good performance images, fast morement, lighting issues, etc.

Thank you so much for your comment, Al. I looked at your performance shots - they're wonderful. I still need some work on my technique but did manage to get a few shots that were worthwhile.

Nice shot Dalila, although I really don't know what his noise comment is in reference to, unless more related to the other images.

All the best,
Ed

Nice shot, but those who know my work will expect a question about why chose not to centre the image. I don't think the offset adds anything to an already great shot.

All the best,
Ed

Dalila,

It's a pity you are not receiving any comments on these three images, they are nicely composed and a great subject matter. Of the three I like this one the best. I shoot the Camarillo School of Performing Arts (CAPA) annual show (here in California). You can see the 2006 images on my web site www.auphotography.net. This year’s show is in two weeks (July 14-15). This image is one I may try to duplicate. My only suggestion for you might be to use a noise reduction program like Neat Image (unless, a noisy look is what you were going for). I'm sure you used a high ISO.
