The even lighting against the stark, black background make for a magnificent photo. Great job!

I've been to this harbor and you have caught the essence of the place perfectly. This is a good example of how clutter can made to look artful.

Outstanding! Was this shot as infrared?

I love the interaction between the flower and the water. Is that a fence in the reflection? It provides a unique effect.

Very nice. Could have been a lot better if you had cropped out the sky. Try eliminating the top 1/3 of the photo and see how the colors jump out and how the stream draws the viewer into the scene. Beautiful setting. I wish I had been there!

I shoot a lot of flowers and I would be proud to have taken this one. I love the way the flowers melt into the background. The barely visible bloom in the bottom left helps balance the photo. Great job!

Terrific shot. Sexier than most nudes I have seen here. I think it would be a bit better if you could have included all of her foot and not cut off the toes.

Flowers are one of my favorite subjects and this one is a beauty. I love the diffuse lighting against the dark background. You said you could have been a little tighter in the shadows. You might consider cropping this into a square image rather than a rectangle. I know, the "rules" say not to center your subject but I think this one would be an exception. Great job!

Margaret,
Thanks for your comments on this image and on my California Rose. I used a little bit of Photoshop on this one. The flamingos were actually in different planes; they were not next to each other. You may notice that the one on the left is in sharper focus than the one on the right. The eye of the bird on the right was out of focus and was a distraction, so I copied the eye from the left flamingo and pasted it over the eye of the right flamingo.

This has to be the most unusual framing I have ever seen. Good job, but now I've seen enough!

This is fun. Please keep posting these. I think 4SITECN may be "for sight seeing." Was it on an RV? FYI, my own plate is UTENN 1 - University of Tennessee #1.

This is great. It really captures the cat's "Don't bother me" attitude. The lighting draws the viewer right to the cat's face while everything else fades into background.

Ramon,

Thanks for noticing the "heart." This has made a nice Valentine's Day image.

Awesome shot! Despite all the action, exposure is right on and all essential elements are in sharp focus.

Great shot! Looks like it was done in available light. Certainly looks like a candid - something a parent or grandparent would want to hang on the wall. Heck, I don't know this child and I would love to hang it on my wall!

Terrific image. The fence in the foreground leads off to the left, pulling the viewer through the image. Then the fog obscures the background. I love this shot!
