Thank you, but really I dont't think one is "better" than the other.
What striked me when I saw your photo, was the diferent felling and image that we can get, starting with similar conditions... and that is the beauty of Photography, or any other art form!

Great abstract photo!
The composition is very good, with the white lines guiding our eyes to the red blur, perfectly positioned, acording to the "1/3 rule" of composition.

I've done something similar, from a moving car in a bridge, but with higher shutter speeds:

Great instant shoot!
This chimp must have some really big issues in his life!
The thumb image do not do justice to this photo!
Here I can clearly see the chimp against the dark background.
The composition is somewhat "in the middle", maybe with a little more space in the right would look more natural...
Anyway, very good!

Lots of dualitys, in this photo.
I like the blue and pink background, the poses and choice of clothes.
I'm just not so sure about the lighting, we can see they're smiling and very at ease, but I would like to see/understand more of their faces and emotions.

Que expressão! E que olhos tão azuis!
A composição está óptima, o ponto de focagem perfeito, só é pena a iluminação (penso que seja flash na máquina), que criou alguns pontos de brilho na pele, mas principalmente no vestido, que brilha demais... e que tal uns retoques no PS, para tirar brilho no vestido? Em todo o caso, maravilhosa foto de uma anjinha muito bonita!

It's perfect in every technical and emotional aspect of it, except... the focus point is on their hair.
I really think that in this photo it should be on their eyes, or better yet, the same soft focus of their faces should be used in all the photo.
Anyway, it's really beautiful, and I can see love in their eyes.

I don't think you have a problem in contrast here, I really like all those greys you get. With more contrast, you would miss out some details, I think.
I do agree with Teunis, about croping some of the top...
Keep shooting B&W, because this is great.
