oh man the box i've had a shocker!!!!!!
just never seen this view before hehe.
yeah i'm on the west side > central coast, heard of indies (indicaters)? most people call it the zone though. Heaps heavy and super sucky, maybe rivials shark island but only on it's day. the surfs huge at the moment 3m people were surfing sydney harbour it was that big...amazing stuff

nice to hear from a local who appreciates the surf. This is northpoint in margaret river and its a very fast and inexplicably powerful wave. check the whitewater out if you dont believe me. and yeah the guy ducked into the cavern for a second, sreaming all the way.

something for normal people to look at is on the right hand side. The wave comes in fast onto shallow (probly reef here) ground and drains all the water off the shelf to create one powerfull sucky as heck barrel. have a look at the angle of the water.
To ride one of these as long and as perfectly can be done, with style, is every surfers dream, every surfers search.

Nice scene, nice colors. Light is very hard and I would have preferred the three surfers not to be smack in the center. That would have increased the power and imposing presence of the huge wave. Regards Jorg

I really like this shot. Has great colors, the sky, the wave, the still water, and the wave behind all work to create the moment for this surfer. Good shot of an overhead wave, and good focus with detail around the surfer. Nice.
