Here is the image unedited from the scanner. Any suggestions of what to do different or better would be appreciated.

Hi Shawn, I took the original and just cropped it some. Then added auto levels and auto color correction. I think the only difference is the crop. It is nice photo though. Yours that is.

Hi dave, I changed software. The scanner is still junk but I'm using PS now for the editing. I'm hoping to see some improvements with practice and good advice. Here is this image unedited from the scanner.

Cute idea Shawn, but it looks a bit pixelation on my screen.

Actually, it's a very clever idea indeed! Keep it up!

Well composed shot of the big rig. The image is low on contrast and perhaps a tad low on color saturation. A few adjustments would make this outstanding!

Well composed, but with very low resolution, colors are washed out. You really need a photo editing program to adjust these images.

Well composed, but the details are soft, contrast level is much too low. Try decreasing light just a tad and increasing contrast and saturation, should make this image pop.

This is a very nice portrait, but you can improve it a lot if you adjust the contrast settings in Photoshop. Its either over exposed or just a bad scan. But very easy to fix! Try the 'auto levels' feature if you have photoshop.
I gave it a quick go:
I also ran the 'sharpen' filter to make edges a little more defined.

This might not have been the best choice for the title. This is a trophy photo. After getting the film developed I wished that I had washed my hands before I set the timer.

I believe somthing got lost in the scanning part. Needs some pep up in image saturation like density and colors. Also needs some sharpening. The frame effect here is superfluous, could well be avoided.

No criticism intended (I was a hunter for many years myself, and believe in it), but I must say I don't care much for pictures of dead animals. Anyway, my questions has to do with the point of the picture ... is it just an image of at trophy, or, as the caption suggests, is it a statement ABOUT hunting, so to speak?
