The credit of "wonderful smile" should go to the model, not me.

Thank You any way!

Thanks, Debarshi.

I was glad to visit your porfolio, and enjoyed your photos taken of the rice-field in your country. They are so beautiful, and I left my comments in there.

Carla:

Today, I came across some info about their traditional colorful costume and I would like to keep you updated as promised.

***
Sa Pa is home to a walking market, mainly at weekends but also part of daily life in this remote mountainous village in the north of Vietnam near the Chinese border. Most of the goods on sale are being worn daily by the ethnic tribes people, in their fields and in their poor huts and then proudly on display for the foreigners who come at weekends.
Their clothes are an art form. Black tunics with blue lining, colored aprons worn reversed, braid trimmed jackets, rich embroidered vests, wrap around leggings, extraordinary head gear. Bright red turbans are folded one way when the woman is single and then another when the man has been ?got?, black caps perched high and held through plaits. And the hair color: some of it a reddish blonde, others brownish auburn. None of them have the black ebony hair of the rest of Vietnam?s women.

Hope this info helpful to you.

Thank you for your comments on both my photo and note.
I wish you didn't say "I wish i were there and bought those peanuts.". Why only wish? You are more than welcome to visit this destination. I am serious! If you ever want to join our next trip in February 2005, just let me know.

I like your way telling the little stories about your photograph. It's great to see and understand that places, culture and people. Thank you for giving news from the other side of the earth. I wish i were there and bought those peanuts.
Great frame and colors.

I like the idea of darkening the background, Ismael. But if I do so, Ian won't feel dizzy no more. I wan't to scare him!

Thanks for your comments. Regards,

Thanh.

Hello Gabry, and thank you so much for the pictures you took of Sardinia for me. Without your help, it is hard for me to obtain such beautiful photos of a remote island like yours.

Have a great day!

Thank you for your comments, Ismael.

Actually, I felt the same as you do about the fisher's face. I regret that he was working too hard, trying to monitor any sound of fish in his trap. The bad news is, I waited for more than 20 minutes and he caught nothing... so he never raised his head before I left.

Have a good day!

THE PROBLEM IS , I THINK, THERE IS SO MUCH CONFUSION BECAUSE THE FOREGROUND AND THE BACKGROUND ARE SO VIVID...AND WE CAN?T SEE THE MAN'S FACE.
THE HISTORY YOU'VE TOLD VERY INTERESTING.
REGARDS FROM SPAIN AND GOOD LUCK.

Thanks for your kind words.
I am curious to know about this type of step cultivation in the mountain regions of India. Please recommend me the links to those pictures.

Thanks for your comments.
You've got very good eyes on the hut. The animal is a water-buffalo, not a yak, which has long hair. I don't think we have this kind in Vietnam, even though local people have them to take the duty of tractors as using of yaks in Tibet or highland China.

Very nice photo. I like the way that photo is partitioned into 3 different sections and the lines draw you eyes into the center of the frame. The hut and the yak(?) add a good balance.
