Fantastic clouds and lighting contrasts. Overall, the picture has somewhat of a grainy feel...if not grainy than some other uneven texture. Was this added or not?

I think this is my favorite of the terminal because it shows off your masterful cloud techniques. Nice catch on lighting.

This is such a complimenting shot of a place that seems to have much life and history. Nicely done, though I do wish that we could see more of what he's drinking from. But I suppose that it's part of the mystery.

Original idea, great execution. The expression once again is very well done, with the added effect of forlorn this time! You have a stellar portfolio, yet you don't look that old. Another aspiring young photographer?

Is this a self-portrait? The only reason I ask is because the subject looks like your biographical photo. If so, it's very well done with your expression maintaining some sort of questioning character while still looking confident in a sense. Beautiful if I may say so myself.

Wow! Incredible use of spare composition. This would go great in the project for loneliness. Stellar job!

The textures make this photo! That and the lighting make it a very competent shot.

I like the position and the lighting but I think it's a tad soft on the focus. Was this intentional? If it was, I might understand it...but if you were trying to capture the expression, then it detracts from the image.

Great capture. The angle and the lighting contribute to the cute-ness of the ducks! A stellar photo!

Wow, I'm glad you waited. I love the full silhouette that you captured of the bird. Great job!

I don't find the brights to be too bright. I just find the photo to have quite a range of tones. Altogether, I think it's very effective. Nicely done.

Wow, if you're trying to convey what I think you are you did a great job! I love how the fresh wood looks like fire itself. Very effective.

A very dirty looking scene! I love the morose character of the carrots against the cleanliness of the snow. Great job.

I have to say that I'm a sucker for your dramatic landscapes. I think you did a wonderful job on the colors and the depth. I do tend to agree that it is a little soft which detracts slightly from the overall aesthetics. Possibly sharpen? Nice job.

Wow! A perfect example of moody/dramatic landscape. It is such an ineffably beautiful subject, and I wouldn't change one thing in your rendition of it. Great job.

Actually, yes I am a cyclist, assuming you consider a commuter a cyclist. I commute to work/school every day on the bike and I love every minute of it. Thanks for the comments.

This is one of my favorites in your portfolio. The contrast between the dead wood and the flourishing tree in the background makes this photo very special and puts it in my favorites file.

Wow...for her age she sure looks introspective. The overexposure really works to make the archetypal color of innocence -- white -- prevalent! The eyes are awe-inspiring, and I especially love how the mystery of the flower in front of her face contrasts the intention of innocence. I'm done now....

Excellent composition! The character of the rocks and the logs are also very notable. If possible, the water would be even more stunning with a longer shutter speed.

Very interesting composition...definately out of the ordinary. The colors and shadows all lead the eye out into the abyss of the sky. An awesome photo.

Congratulations on the award, Laurie! This is the quintessential alternate perspective in my mind...you achieved a wonderful minimalist effect from such a mundane item.

You've done some great things with water, and I think this is verging on my favorite. There is so much movement yet the drop itself seems so still. Really great job!

Great concept! The DoF and the colors are most notable. Once again, great job with the tricky exposure.
