Great shot.

That looks something new to me (haven't been down there for about 5 years now) but maybe my memory is going...

Oh, the changing times of Singapore...Wonderful night view; classical cityscape, with the former Post Office building to the left being dwarfed by all the phalluses of modern capitalism...(Can't see the old Red Lantern very clearly - is it still there?)

Best wishes - thanks for posting -

Nice, cheerful smile - interesting, the difference between the colour and the thoughtful look in what I kind of assume (maybe wrongly) was a companion black and white shot...

WOW! I had the feeling I was looking at a reflection on a contact lens set on an orange surface. Optical illusion. Very well done.

James, thanks very much. It was moreluck that good management and i was soo excited about maybe being able to capture the lightning that my composition went to crap. With my exposures being between 10 secs and 1 min the lighting allways seemed to strike just after i let go of the shutter, missing the best strikes.

Great shot Wes! For me the powerlines aren't a distraction at all. Like Mark though I do feel that strightening perspectives would add significantly to the image if the liughtning wasn't all to the side (and would hence be lost). Good control of shutter and aperture here to get the best effects of both the small aperture and long shutter. Well done!

Thanks also for commenting on my Craster image... Much appreciated!

the power lines are always a distraction in thailand, as you well know. on the other hand, just being able to capture lightning is enough wez. i've never been able to do it.....
