I Have Been Stuck On Svalbard Spitsburgen for 2 Months Now And I Brought My Cam With To Get The Aurora Shots But It Is Not So Clear Over Here. I Wil Be Leaving Soon And Have Not even Seen An Polor Bear.Stupid Polor Nights! Nice Portfolio

Lovely shot, Gaute. The tail shows up wonderfully. It's too bad we only had a short while to enjoy it. I had a great look one night, but did not get a picture.

You are very good, Gaute. This image is so painterly. At first glance I immediately thought of Carvaggio and Caspar Friedrich's dramatic landscapes. These works show your elite relationship with your subject. Very impressive.

It's all natural. The picture is not manipulated in any way.
I found the structure in the icicle itself very beautiful. The dark part below is melting water just about to "let go" of the icicle.
The picture is shot towards the sun with the extensive use of flash. This brought out the details.
The icicle itself is about 1 cm in diameter.
