great use of DOF and crop. and I like that the inside is lit well. not too easy to do and keep the petals darker. very nice, you have some strong images

AWESOME... Even though stuff is rather grainy... I still love it. I wish I had trees like this around here. wonderful in BW as well, light is amazing too. well done.

I know this is REALLY late.. but this shot and the Sheep and Tree one are great.. and this is coming from someone who pretty much despises sheep... the comp and tones and entire idea of this image is wonderful. light is a huge factor as well and you pulled it off very well. well done. you have many wonderful images

I love the softness of this. it's hard to shoot these kind of flowers when it comes to deciding DOF. but I feel you did very well. and I like the color. Composition is nice too. well done.

leave it to washington to create a landscape such as this. awesome colors. hard to tell where water and forest begins.. you did well with this shot.

it's really too bad that green brush/growth is there on the right.. if possible i may have found another vantage point where I could elimate that without costing the composition... otherwise I love the shot, you have some very nice waterscapes.. great reflection. well done

try on different colored backgrounds to bring that white out. then again I don't know if your objective was to get that blending effect... just a suggestion...

wow, tack sharp. I like the light.. may have wanted a bit more DOF, to make it a bit more abstract. and I might have found a slightly different angle, so that that petal doesn't seem to be poking you in the eye.. but flowers such as these are hard to shoot. well done.

it's strange, several people have said that I have a style similar to O'Keef.. and that was back before I even knew of her.. (I was young.. it wasn't my fault I didn't know)

actually... it was an egg that had rubber bands around it.. and it had gone through several dye layers by then.. I loved the idea though and will continue it next easter as well. I should find some other subjects to put the bands around.. thanks for the comment..

yep.. I thought I had nailed the shot, till I looked at a bigger version of it. and I agree, stem is too hot... It makes it hard with that fuzz, but I should attack it again..

I've been looking at all your refraction shots.. and it reminds me of those blob things, where you find images in them.. Only 20xs cooler.. awesome work, very unique vision. I love the dye shots as well.

I like this one a lot, I think that the eyes and expression are wonderful, and really become the focus of this image through what you've added... the colors chosen and layering is great.. the vertical lines make it seem like her essence (sp?) is seeming out or something.. well done..

thanks for the nice long comment Hilliard. it's about time someone went into such detail, I'm not afraid of nit picking..

Jonathan you always wanna crop something off... for shame.. though the whiteness of it does kind of bug me..

you managed to combine those two profiles well.. (big surprise there huh)I like the colors you used as well. or rather the polarizing
I'm gonna have to play around with that way of wrapping the hair as well.. I like it. well done

thanks, took a couple tries, but considering most of this was in shade or low light, and I had no tripod with me, it turned out well.

if you call my natural state impaired then maybe.. otherwise, nope. the snow and sort of haze to that day helped with the softness, I don't think I did anything to that aspect..

I love this shot overall, loved the earlier one of it as well. The only thing that really bugs me with this one, are the lines I see in the sky.. and sort of bubbles... But i have a feeling I'm getting too technical. Overall, I love the mood of this shot, like someone said, quite dreamy, yet eerie. Well done
