Hi Chris,
Thanks for your comment.
For this shot I used the AV mode- Al Servo.
The dowitcher was flying low so the backgound was sharp but I decided to blurred it.

Best.

Gracias Alicia.
Este correlimos es una especie que nunca habia observado anteriormente.
Se diferencia de otras especies similares por que las plumas primarias sobrepasan la longitud de las plumas de su cola.
Un abrazo.

Hi Brigitte,
We were less than 70 yards from this whale.
Yes, thhe migrate during the winter months to warm, low latitude tropical waters were they breed and give birth to their babies and during the Spring/Summer/Autumn they stay in cooler, high latitude where they find abundance of food.
The wates of Monterey Bay are very rich in nutrients , so it attracts a large population of Humpback Whales.
The cost for morning trips is $45 for adults and children 12 and under $35.
This tour operators are located at the Monterey bay.
Here is their link.
http://www.montereybaywhalewatch.com/trips.htm
On this trip I only saw 2 whales but in previous trips, I have seen over 12 Humpback Whales and over 20 Grey Whales.
If you are planning to go, first check the weather and make sure is going to be sunny and also, make sure that you brind a zoom lens, because sometimes they come very close and you may also need a telephoto, because sometimes they are too far.
Good luck and please let me knos if you have any additional questions.

Best.

Impecable.
La pose con su cabellera ligeramente inclinada y su perfil izquierdo sutilmente cubierto por el cabello, resaltan aun mas su belleza imperdonable.
Gracias por traernos esta Diosa.
