For the not-so-birding photogs like u and Patrick (he missed out a lot not following his birder parents): This is a Great horned owl which is often used as a a LURE for attracting yes predatorial (in birders' lingo, birds of prey) which hate the owls as invaders of their territory. Been to a few captures for banding migratory bird events of merlins and falcons. Yes coz i followed my wildlife enthusiast parents. In the background, it seems like a Peregrine Falcon in its bright summer plumage. I could be wrong! Anyhooooow, love this capture , "a pasion of mine, birds, esp that prey"!! Wonderful portfolio indeed!

Mmmmmmmmmmmmm, excellent shot! Impeccable composition & soft lighting! Very creative photo ad, Kodak would pay big bucks$$$$$$, if only you let the trade name show and $ell it to them. Keep in mind in the future!! Nice bumpin' into ye!

Eccentric composition (hope u dont mind me cropping this to show) would've been nicer especially coz this is not a self-portrait. Nice job though!

This species in America is called DADDY LONG LEGS! LOL! Blurr at the extremities and the tight control of the depth of field is the reason for the drama in this very ordinary sighting. This macro is superbly done!

perfect composition for a Nature photo showing the habitat (Mango tree?). Used to see them a lot on fig trees as a kid growing up in the Deccan plateau. Interesting grain giving a painting kinduva feel to the picture. Well done Amit!

Patience pays for a Amateur Lepitopterist Photog, huh?!Excellent sharpness on the Marigolds and almost perfect focus on the wing extremities of the butterfly. Slight improvement on DOF would have done it! Also, if you cropped the distractive elements (dead or half-cut flowers), you can improve the composition. Great effort nevertheless Mehul!
