Sankranthi, is a Hindu festival that celebrates the harvest season and the end of monsoons, in India. On this festive day, the sun enters zodiac house of Capricorn symbolizing man's journey from darkness into light. A year ago this day, along with thousands of others, I was sport kite-flying, which involves mid-air competitions (ones kite & thread over the others) to cut the others' kites, at least 100 meters away from ground, using special threads coated with finely powdered glass.
