Of course I speak fluent Greek but can only read the capital letters and can't write it. I also speak rusty Japanese and a splattering of Spanish and Pidgin English as I spent a couple of years living in Papua New Guinea. Oh English and Rubbish too of course. :)

Cheers - Ann :)

Thanks Ann. This stretch of road leads down from the summit of One Tree Hill in Auckland, and looks different each time I drive down. The day I took this shot, there was a fair amount of fog around, creating such an awesome mood that it was hard to resist immortalising the scene. I'm very glad you like it. It's always wonderful to hear how others interpret your work.

As for languages, phew, ok let's see now... I can swear like a trooper in Arabic, Greek and Latino :)) The Arabic comes from my parents who spoke it fluently while growing up in Egypt and the Greek and Latino comes from having loads of Greek and Latino friends at school. I can understand and read French but cannot for the life of me speak or write the language with any degree of confidence. I fluently speak Italian (naturally), can read it but cannot for the life of me write it with any degree of accuracy without the help of either my mother or an online translator! :))) Now that my children are growing up in New Zealand, they are learning to speak Maori and a few other polynesian languages. Crazy huh?

Ok, your turn, I'd lay money on you knowing more than just Greek and English...

Typical downunderer working my way backwards through your portfolio. :)

I LOVE this imagfe. Not only do I really enjoy road shots cause I like the mystery of where they might take me but this one is so moody too. The tones in this give a beautiful ambience almost like a paitning or a drawing from yesteryear. I love the tonal depth. Perfect composition to make the most of the scene. Beautiful Rina.

Thanks also for dropping by my images to comment. Oh and thanks also for clearing up the question about your friend. I thought it was all in jest. I was getting a real kick out of that. :) Hey do you speak a bunch of other languages because of your mixed bag of nuts ancestry. I would laugh if you told me you could speak some language of which you had no bloodline....(haha)...although I wouldn't be surprised.

Cheers - Ann :)

Superb mood and perspective, Rina! The trees look surreal, the ones on the left because they lean forward, and the first one on the right is plain eerie. The sheep add a mythical dimension to the image and the title. Love the sepia tones. Great composition! Best regards and again, have a jolly good time with your family and hoildays!

Aww shucks Janet. Fank you. Had a little help with the tones as it was a fairly foggy morning to start with. Thought the grain would add a touch more eeriness to it too.

Couldn't resist coming back for one more looksee around and I'm sooooo glad I did! Managed to get a comment in before you get inundated, as I'm certain you will be!! Fantastic posts Janet. Still have them open in front of me.

Am planning to sneak in as much as I can, to see what you guys are up to. Mostly when I put the oldies to bed :)) They're taking me back to Aussie with them for Christmas, so it may be a while before I can sit down and post something.

Thanks for all YOUR wonderful support this year. You ROCK!
