i like this one better, after two days! because of: -painted background in contrast with live forground. - sharp and vivid details in forground. -it's silence and not very peaceful! - lith process efect and more..... relax weekend GG

I really like the outcome of this processing. I didn't think I would when I clicked on the thumb but after it opened, it is gorgeous.
Those little tree stumps sure give a lot to this picture. So peaceful.
Best wishes, Dave

I dont know if i would say this is a stronger shot, equally as stong with a more moody look, very pleasing to the eye, I really like the nice tones you achieved, different but just as beautiful as the others..

Gayle, I have to say I like this image!
I think the comp is perfectly suited to the tones. I find my eyes are drawn, firstly, to the stump in the middle of the image, and from there, they go on a discovery trip of the surrounding hills. Lastly, my gaze is attracted to the calm water in the foreground. It is then that my visual journey is completed, feeling glad that I came across this scene!
Oh, now, I'm back in the real world with a ton of work to do on my desk. LOL
Thanks for sharing this lovely image with us, Gayle.
Cheers
Phil

hi and thanks for taking time to give me feedback...was a tad confused by your comment, but grasp that you prefer color...all the lake shots are separate shots and this one wasn't desat, but was toned a blue balanced sepia...also is my effort at simulating a lith process look with the contrast level....;>

Having lost the pink clouds in desaturation, this shot is not as appealing as the other two.

Thanks for taking the time to comment on this series...it's ok that toning/grain isn't your thing,Kathy,as i appreciate your honesty...to me,this toning conveys a vintage wilderness look and i just added that it simulates a lith process,or at least my attempt at such ;>

Ok, well first up, I'm going to go with this as my favourite of the three. I love the tone. Metallic. I can't stop looking at the foregound reflections on the water. The three hairy looking mounds of ummm... stuff (I'm so ignorant ;)) there on the right, kinda look like missiles to me (yes, yes, I know, weird) But all in all, just superb. Good on ya for posting the series, loved every minute of the show! Cheers babe!

This is my least favorite of the three, Gayle. I'm not sure why, but I'm thinking that the sepia doesn't work well in this one. Of course, that's just MO, some might like it a lot. I'm not crazy about the grain either, but I'm just not a grainy kind of girl most of the time :) Anyway...nice comparisons! Kathy
