I might suggest, if you get back there, to bring the frame down and zoom in, or move in, more on the smaller falls in the foreground, to contrast with the larger in the back, which would be only the top third of such a photo. There's some nice detail on the smaller, as well.
As for the blown out area, I could only suggest a tripod, of course, but ND filters, still dragging the shutter the same, and then a second shot without those for the foliage. And you'd blend in software.
Another might be to get a slightly higher angle on the upper falls, and just capture that, or find a viewpoint for the falls on the lower left, here, and just get that.
