Acrobatic and dance choreography display at Long Beach Aquarium in Southern California. I knew from the beginning that I wanted to photograph the Jelly Fish. I was kind of disappointed in that the tank was small compared to others I have seen but I decided to wait and see what could be captured. I took about 40 shots and kept about twelve. There was very little light so I had to shoot at a high ASA setting. I'll have to try flash and see what happens. The other thing that comes to mind is that old song: You should be dancing... Yeah!
Excellent lighting... beautiful colors, and very strong contrast... love the detail, and the effort you spent to capture this Jellyfish... I don't see any distortion using the 15mm fisheye lens!!... downloaded the picture, and tried my self to find a better orientation: vertical, rotate it.... but this was the most acceptable one... yet even though I like it flipped (sounds like it is making a 180? sky-dive :)... but I believe there is a still a much stronger composition could come out of this lines/form/color and contrast... excellent work though
Lovely reds and golds captured here. I love watching jellyfish moving through the water. It's so soothing. I would have liked to see you include more of the smaller jellyfish on the bottom left, as it looks like it could play a good role in this photo - lending more to the 'choreography' theme!
