The result is indeed more than simply "fine for you", Andras! Really, the animal itself is excellently captured. I thought about its unwillingness to stand in front of a darker backgound. Models nowadays are really very egoistic. ;-)
And I also thought about the possible enhancements which now makes me believe that there war not any. Should you correct manually towards underexposure for getting the background darker, it would simply ruin all those details and glances of the animal's fur. So, it was the very best that one could do having to work with such uncooperative models ;-)
Alas, nature doesn't care about photogenity! :-)
Best wishes,
Nick

Thanks for the nice detailed comment again Nick! No bracketing as you said because of the lack of time. I tried to have the best about it, and I think the result was fine for me. Thanks for the constructive comment! And no AF next time :) Regards

Your focus and choise of DoF are extremely good as is the coloring of the fur, Andras! The background is a bit too weak for puting the fox into the absolute spotlight - but then again, foxes and horses do not seem to care about standing in front of the right background. ;-)
Of course one could say that a small correction towards underexposure could darken the background to the point of delivering a stronger impression of the fox itself. The question is whether the coloring/detail of the fox would remain intact then. BTW, did you bracket? Which is unlikely since the fox wouldn't just stay there for a long time, as you already said, but just for my curiosity.
Bets wishes,
Nick
P.S.: Now that would be a much more useful feature of digital photography: Instead of giving us the autofocus, that turns useless most of the time, give us autobracketing at last!

TY Dave! Yes, I like the effect of the light too, otherwise it would be almost an ordinary picture. Regards Andras

Great timing and presence of mind to make this shot, Andras! I like the way you got him right in the shaft of light with excellent focus and detail. Dave.

That is very much true. Normally foxes do not enter habitation. I have heard that there is a small population of Indian fox surviving around one of the stadiums in Kolkata. But I have never seen any one of them. Jackals are less cautious and often roam around my residence within the metropolis. In reality they are the surving wild inhabitant of the Royal Calcutta Golf Club which is very close to our house. The fox might or might not be rabid, I was just expressing my feelings. Best wishes...

Heerak! I was not sure if it was rabid, but as far as I know normal foxes never come near inhabited places. Thank you for your another kind comment!

Barbara! Not so good? It is nice I think, the reflections on the drops makes the picture very interesting, and the eyes of the deer... I like it. And thank you for your lovely comment!

Very good capture. Excellent details. But somehow, (I can not really explain, perhaps the look in her/his eyes or say the closed mouth withour any frothing or other abnormalities) it does not seem to be a rabied one. Was there any reason for that animal to be scared of something else! Anyway, foxes are elusive, and it is no doubt a rare and very good picture. Best wishes...

Great capture Andras, and a dangerous one too. Your description is very suggestive of a rabid fox. They are very elusive and affraid of people. Your details are terrific, even without any manipulation. Regards. Yamil

Oh my... a fox being so closed to you...well even they are not attaking all the times, surely they are scarred a lot and goes away but that one looks like pretty friendly to you! Beautiful animal, and good shot too Andras, well seen shot.
