This picture was taken in an abandoned military base near the city of Szeged, this building once was the home of the soviet officers guarding the complex. Now it is abandoned, but some of the buildings were renowned - and are working as a student hostel. Thank you for your time!
So, the automatic resizing of UF did its evil? Oh well, sometimes it might be better to resize it manually before posting, in order to be able to take care of such... auto sharpness-decadense? ;-)
As about the title, now that you explained that I do understand it much better. Decadense in a general meaning of decay. I was more into the direction of moral or intellectual decline because of material luxury. Perhaps something like "Decadence and soviet memories" could keep the strength of both titles, Andras?
Thanks for your long comment Nick! No, it is not made with the Olympus, it looks like it is not sharp, but in full size it WAS sharp... Decadence-I meant deterioration, destroyment. But maybe, yeah, I should change the title. How about "Soviet memories"? Regards Andras
Andras, this is a a very nicely composed image, and one of a great tonality too, that just describes the atmosphere of those abandined buildings. Only a bit more sharpness I miss here. (Is it what you mean talking about the soft images of your camera?)
But ehy "decadense"? I would expect some needless luxury and idiotical material gloria of a swiss hotel for the rich when thinking about this as a title of a photo. Perhaps you could say something more about your own thoughts considering this one?
