Hi Visar and thanks a lot for the information about the shoot! So there we go and a 50mm lens is still quite sufficient for very strong photography without that overkill of tiny and huge focal distances. I wish many will notice that here!!!
On the child I see, really, not the absence and at the same time not the presence of interest/impression. Whatever I see, it's just outside of this "measure". Completely outside the range between the two extremes.
This is why I consider this one and also the next one so special. They captured something that resists all attempts to define it. It doesn't even care to give any hint about what it is! It just reveals itself and says "I am" - and that was it! Not a single trace of "symbolic" and "analogy" and "mapping this to that", which exactly is what separates real abstract work from the naive mediocracy of "symbolizing freedom with a flying bird" and the similar nonsense, you know. These two images are completely conform with your always high (and hard) criteria for abstract work.
Keep it up! And cheers!
Nick

thank you Nick, thank you for ever in depth going comments!
in fact that off DoF, off focus face of the child- his reluctance, of being sort of unimpressed by the stage dance while i was in awe- sort of entranced, fabulously with all the vivid and complex scene which never disturbed them dancers, being in their trance state!! and, there was the child- unrituallistically entranced.
regarding technical part of it, it was great thing having 50 mm/ f 1.4 objective; only that, this time.
cheers, v.

Truly wonderful shot Visar. Very very colorful. Nice to see you deviated from your style. I think they are Sufi dancers. Please correct me if I am wrong.

What a great scene dude with great perspective, compo and details. Great atmosphere too created by the rich red color and the kid on the corner along with the diagonal lines across the frame, make this shot really unique

Another perfect scene for a theater play, in which a story evolves but without that typical "start" or "end". It has some kind of "anarchistic" character that wants to describe a whole story in zero time - and guess what? It does this very well!
So, the whole composition is kept exactly under the toning that denies to obey any kind of limitations considering the look and feel! Strict color palette and one that matches the ambience of the scene where the dancers are schematic representations made of light. And the scene may be simple but its has a devlish perpective! It leads me to.. and here I stop! It's like walking over a huge distance still perceiving the target point exactly as far away as before I started walking at all.
I left the most striking element for the end. That kid that is there but then again not really. The focus and the timing mede it look as a very essential part of the whole scene that also denies to follow the scene! It looks somewhere else, it is out of the DoF, it does what it wants, and that's why it must be there too! It balances composition in both a classical but also in a very own, original way.
I'd take that for a good cover of some CD of an independent label, Visar! A great image!
Cheers!
Nick

I never expected such a colourful image from you Visar. The exaggerated colours almost give the impression of a cartoon, a view helped by the inclusion of the small child. It's a picture of two moods, the concentration and movement of the dancers and the relaxed stillness of the child. To say I love this would be an understatement. Regards, Gary
