Thanks Paul, I appreciate the comment on this. I am using a 28mm prime to explore some options of zooming with my feet. I am very pleased with the prime so far. Seems to be some nice glass for my Rebel.

Nice marcro and dof that really sets it off.
Colors are also well rendered and nicely
saturated.....

Thanks so much Ken, I am trying new things to try and get the hang of layers. So much to translate into action. Fun but sometimes frustrating too. I try a little every day, some days are more successful than others but it just adds up as time in.

Thanks Ania, so glad you liked this one. These were so vibrant in the afternoon sun. I was using a prime that I recently got and trying some different apertures to see what DOF I could expect from it. Thanks for your best, it is always appreciated.

Hi Harry, no bear damage to me, and yes, I have not climbed trees to only have the bears following me. Have watched some move quickly and know that they are much more agile than credited. Brent has a good memory when I use him for these captures. I actually got a new 2gb and 4 gb cards. One is 80x and the other is 133x. They sure download faster. Got a good deal on both. I have also been using a couple of 512mb, but when I use raw they fill pretty quickly. I like the prime for the DOF I am seeing with it.

Thanks Dave, Where In Canada are you? Are you starting to cool down as well. We are getting some hard frost in the morning, the colors are fading and snow is on the way. Thanks for the comment and support.

Thanks so much Brigitte, glad you liked it. Do not know if I could do it again. Hard to remember steps. I am going to learn how to use history pallet as well. I had some good light on the flowers and do not know if any flower shots will happen before the snow this weekend. Colder nights are upon us as well slip toward the W word. We have had a really nice fall but most of the colors are fading and leaves are dropping in volume.

Thanks Avi, I appreciate the comment. I agree about black and yellow as the combination. This was a humble attempt at blurring and creating a frame by using a bigger image with a background behind the main layer. There was such a dark background I was trying to lighten a little to draw out the main blackeye. I will keep working on it and have some more fun with it. My PS skills are at the beginning, but by trying something new every week is definitely helping start the learning of it. Thanks again Avi.

Thanks so much Mitra, so glad you liked it. These flowers were growing in front of one of my friends business building. I had stopped to see him when I spied these and grabbed the camera. They were some of the last flowers still standing before winter gets here.
Be well today,Stan

Thanks Alicia, I really appreciate you comment and encouragement. I am trying some new things with the blurring and trying to figure how to do some frames. So many possibilities to explore. Hope you have a wonderful day!!

Sigh, I was worried black eye meant you have had a fight with those black bears. Did you know that young black bears escape in the trees is there is danger ! So the biggest chance you will meet young black bears is in the tree while mummy will chase you.
Wonderful flower and focus Stan. You and Brent and 28 did a goo job ;-)

Sooooooooooooooo beautiful, Stan!!! The composition and dof are outstanding. And it's only further enhanced by the lovely frame you created. Absolutely stunning and I think your friend will be very honored and pleased. 7/7

All the best,
Brigitte

the focus on the 'black eye' is good.. the white vignetting also works.. but the color of the frame really doesn't work Stan. Yellow and black is a color combination made in heaven :)
cheers,
Avi
