About Even in the darkest places the Hasselblad did something... it did catch the attenuations and it did that in such a quiet way. I find this one the best of the three since it really shows the night as it has to be but it still doesn't forget that there is much to see in what comes out as "uniform digital darkness otherwise". Nit to speak about the still smooth and well defined curvy contours. No pixelation and no other artififial artefacts here. Any comments would be very welcome.

Nick,

Your night will be my day, and I am in office at that time (like right now).. with no access to whatsoever (god knows why they didn't block UF). I am genuinely worried now and need to contact the post office in case you haven't received the "manhattan". I mailed it out on 12th September !! .. and they said it will take 8 to 10 days.

Just mark up the image where the "digital noise" is supposed to be and attach it to your next reply, Ian.

I, most of the time, give my films to the local shop for developning, where they do an excellent job! Really excellent!

Cheers!

And it is indeed a dream of a camera, Avi! You can't imagine its kind of seamless action. And i was so lucky to get a whole system, the whole bunch of lenes and light metering instruments, and this and that for just... 200 US dollars!

This can't be true, I am just dreaming nonsensical dreams.... This is what I say to myself whenever I hold that old wonderful cube in my hands... This just can't be true! It is like... composing at the absence of any obstacle between your eyes and the scene. You see even the smallest fly dancing in the air some meters in front of you..

OK, I am getting too enthusiastic here. ;-)

I (at last) got your mail and this is another reason to be so enthusiastic. Trying to skype you tonight (or in the next nights too.)

Cheers!

I like it most too, Dave!

Especially for that "smoothness of even the hardest details" that the Hassie loves to paint.

Cheers!

Look I take your word for it re the pixelations. To my eyes there seemed to be "digital noise" on the long roof, but perhaps shadow detail, that sort of disappears on the larger exposures.
Is developing these yourself in the plan?
Agreed this shows off the curving roof better than the others

Avi

P.S. Did you get the mail ? I am worried, because they said 8-10 days, it's been a month and I haven't heard from you.

I like this one the best of the three, Nick, with detail in both shadow and highlights,
Dave.
