About I was shooting for the newspaper earlier in the day. At dusk, I could no longer shoot "normal" images beceause there was not enough light to get a fast shutter speed. So I decided to shoot some silhouettes--by exposing for the bright sky, I was able to use fast shutter speeds again.

Stunning. I thought they were statues to start off with! Thanks for the explanation as it helps a lot and is a great suggestion!

Very good composition..I like the perspective and the sense of depth. The sepia tone works fine here with the silhouettes!

I love this photograph because it reminds me that even though there is a huge amount of luck in photography, if you lack the skill or the "eye", that lucky opportunity is wasted.

Nice shot!

Just a short comment: Best one here so far. Can't explain why, but I love it. (trees and power lines don't even bother me!!!) Well done, Chris.

This is more of a photoart shot than a sports shot -the beauty of competetive swimming-. Excellent sense of line and composition. The idea is very original, and it worked out perfectly.

Wonderful! Great exposure and tonality. The fore most figure stands out beautifully from the darkening sky. The composition is marvelous.

BRAVO
