A nice idea and a nice shot. I agree with Kim on the crop. I would like this even more without the buildings. But this is still a nice one.

kim, i like your crop a lot:). i was debating about the cropping i chose for about 30 minutes before i uploaded...i don't have any idea why i chose not to crop it any further. about the old west feel...i was thinking the same exact thing. in fact, when i was toning it i thought "looks like an old west shot." :)

LOL at your about. I love those shots that you wonder how they managed on your camera! *grin*
The composition here is a bit too static, with the horizon cutting through the image almost at a half.... and I love the sky, so I think that a crop of the bottom might be what this needs. The cactus is very cool, standing so proud against the sky with the vast cloud hanging over it... the sepia tone is great here as well. Gives it an old west feel.
Kinda include my thoughts on the crop... what do you think?
