Beautiful shot. It almost looks like a cotton plant (don't know if you have them there, but you make cotton from the plant and when their flowers burst open it looks like this. Excellent focus.

Absolutely stunning in its simplicity. The snow clusters are almost 3 dimensional. No clutter just pure whites and black limbs. The framing is the finishing touch. I would buy this to hang on my family room wall, it is a perfect match in colour and decor style.

Mooie scene, en goed belicht dat is toch altijd anders in sneeuw situaties. Ik had het mooier gevonden als het gehele plantje erop had gestaan omgeven door sneeuw. Toch blijft het geheel met de zwarte lijst erg goed.

Postscriptum: Emgy, I've fell down from a stage (I'm a professional musician) and broke my ankle. So I was operated, and after three months I'm able to walk with a walking stick. Emgy;Just returned from the tropics to see this! I love the 2 dimensionality of this image and the simplicity of the subject and the complexity of the pattern. I beleive that the plant is an azalea (check for pink/magenta or white blooms in the next month or two).

the reason I'm writing this is a comment you made earlier today on John Orban's photo. You talked in a rather agressive way about me based on a previous comment I had made on the same photo,but you probably didn't notice that in the meanwhile I had also added a second comment in which I tried to clear up any misunderstandings caused by my first one.I believe that if you had read it then you shouldn't have said all these things about me.
your portfolio seems interesting,and the fact that you create unique images using a limited spec camera is a sign of creativity and distinctive personal style.I'm not in a mood to comment on this or any other of your images right now,but I may do it in the future..

This piece of imformation is meant for all the people that believe I took this shot from my bedroom window!
I was standing in front of the object when I took this photo. It is not a tree but a little plant that grows in my neighbours'garden. I only needed to slightly bend over a low fence to capture it. I must admit that the plant looks indeed like a minuscule tree, probably 60 cm (2 ft) tall. That's that the reason why it drew my attention. It looked so beautiful covered with snow and I just had to walk outside and take its pic. although it was an awfully cold day.

First of all I like the composition very much, secondly the way the depth is created is really outstanding. For, the background is one flat plane without any defintion in color or motive, yet the the snow on the bracnches has variation in tones which togetehr with the perimetry of the branches create the sense of depth. It gives even a 3D effect.

I like the unusual angle, compositon and high level of contrast in this photo works quite well. It expresses a dynamism I can't quite place. I've revisited this one a number of times, trying to figure out what to think. I think you must agree that our styles differ quite a bit, but this one is very appealing. ps: non mi sono offesa ahahhah ma figurati!! solo che mi piace chiarire e non mandare a dire AHAHAHHAHAH. In effetti la mia macchinetta non rendeva bene il cielo fino a poco tempo fa perchè non sapevo che poteva essere impostata come foto all'ombra o al sole.
La Olympus ha il manuale in cd interamente in inglese e "I don't speak English" ahahhah, per tradurre uso un programma. Adesso, finalmente conosco tutte le sue capacità e cerco di sfruttarle al massimo!
