This was a bit tricky to take, position wise, a rather busy, narrow street with next to no sidewalk to stand on. The fog rolling in didn't make it any easier. The picture is lightly cropped on the left and bottom, otherwise it's untouched. Was this a poor choice of positioning?
Don't know if it's the flat light or the flat positioning of the bridge, but I don't see any of the majesticness of the Lions Gate that I feel when I am there. But, since I have never tried to take a picture of it, and I know that Vancouver days can be unforgiving with the flat light, I commend you on getting out there and exploring the area.
I had a strange reaction to this - the image popped up in the sidebar as I was browsing the site, and I immediately recognized it as the Lions Gate Bridge ... even though I've only seen that angle of the bridge twice in my life. I think it's the fog that clued me in! Anyhow, it's an intriguing image for me, very straight forward.
