About
This is an inflated play room for kids to bounce around in at Tokyo's biggest discount shopping mall. Note the blue sky! We don't see them very often...
I'm glad you liked this one, George, as there has been so little interest in it I had thought of withdrawing it--although I rather like it, if only for that all-too-rare blue sky. As for understanding why some photos attract lots of interest and others not, I have no idea. Some of my favourite photos sink without comment, while other that I think are just "so-so" attract much more. Just odd. By the way, thanks for so many encouraging comments all at once.
Love this shot. It is a charming moment in a novel setting--one more good reason to be a photographer. --George (Are you as baffled as I about why some shots garner so much interest while others--arguably superior--are generally ignored? Ah, well . . . )
Interesting story behind this one. It's a TX-1 shot, on a single negative. I usually have to scan these myself, but I'm having so much grief with my scanner I asked my friendly local Fuji shop if they would scan each panorama TWICE, once from the left past the middle and again from the right past the middle (they can only scan 24 x 36mm and these are 24 x 65). They kindly obliged, and I STITCHED the two halves together or C&P'd them in PSP. Neat trick, huh? They were having a half-price discount offer on scanning to CD-ROMs but asked me nicely if I'd give up the discount "because of all the extra work involved." No problem there...
Nice use of the inverted panorama, Roger. Put a few fluffy white clouds on that blue and you've got a Spracklen sky!!! Good to see you posting again. Kind regards, Chris
