About Most of the foilage around the beaches here...are low to the ground..due to the storms that come in from the Gulf of Mexico..This tall palm..is leaning, but still standing. The original photo, was mostly golden tones, with no blue appearing..I used the auto color adjustment in photoshop.

Proud and tall, but a little stiff, like most elder pieces of creation:) I think you made a very good decision on the colours, because it has wonderful tones now.

An excellent pic. Good composition and stunning colours. A wonderful moment captured for us all to share.
P.S. Somewhat different from the beaches in Ontario wouldn't you say?

Auto color was certainly the right choice. I've never tried it myself but after seeing this I'm going to have to experiment. You have a wonderful solid composition underlying your color manipulations. The original version makes a fine statement just the way it was, but I agree, the blue adds to it.

SOOO gorgeous!
The only thing I could suggest that may slightly improve the overall shot would be to crop a little of the black at the bottom. (If you wanted to keep the square format, you could lose a little from the left side too.)
Beautiful image, Gloria.
Kind regards, Chris

I agree that the blue makes this image 'pop' much more than the original tones.
SPLENDID!

Hi Jim...thank you, and yes Auto can be a good buddy..although I was really torn on this, as I tend to lean towards warmer golden colors. Next Tuesday my beach patrol is going on hold for one week. I will be going back to the Thousand Island Region of Northern NY State...and my photos will look more like what you are familiar with. My parents have told me the water temperature of the St. Lawrence River is around 68F...brrr..much to cold for me to take a dip, lol...the water temperature of the gulf is around 88F! I will have access to a computer, so I should be able to view your photos and get some inspiration....Gloria

Well Auto did better than kodak right !! It is beautiful. You find the same effect on top of mountains where the wind always blows. I have seen tree limbs wrapped right around trees. The grow like that because of the wind. This one is very hardy, reminds me of my recent posting "leftovers" some things in nature are really tough.
Great shot Gloria, keep the "Beach Patrol: going
