About Life is so complicated these days!! So much to 'worry about'! Your mortgage, your job security, your pension plan, how your kids will turn out, your Visa card bill, etc., etc.

For these two youngsters, (and I could be very wrong indeed, of course!), life just looked so simple! Sat on the wall watchin' the boats with, seemingly, 'not a care in the world'! How refreshing!

But then I'm reminded that the most carefree Person ever said: "Bring your heavy loads to me and I will give you rest."!! Brilliant!

Thanks for looking!

Best regards,

Chris

what a wonderful picture....it seems they are very happy, so far we can see....and most I like your true words.....we live in a life with a lot sadness, pain, and violence. Look back what's happens in RUSSIA. My heart was filled with pain, so many innocent people and little kids died...my thoughts are by the families who lost a child or brother siter mom or dad....grandma or grandfather. That's why I always said, Enjoy this life, make each day count, and be happy you can live another day, I can tell, believe me, never go to sleep without saying goodnight, because it could be your last day.

Beautiful image, particularly of the young woman. Just enough of her face to show how attractive she is, the slight angling of her head towards the young man to show her affections... a most natural pose. I looked hard for what might be the "photoart" element in this, but can't find it. You win!

The two of them make a perfect composition, couldn't have asked for better!

I like this Chris, carefree...maybe. What is 'carefree' anyway? LOL :)
Someday, we will know!!

Hello again, Merete,
I've just downloaded the folowing from a photo website and thought you may be interested to see it?

'Images of People'

"The most common problem you will run into is a photo with people in it. If you are using their images for editorial purposes, it's usually okay to use them without permission.

If you are using photos with people in them for advertising, you need their permission. People have a right to profit, and exclude someone else from profiting on their photograph or likeness. This right continues after their death and is given to their heirs.

Here's an example to illustrate the difference between editorial use and advertising use. If you had pictures inside a book illustrating people skiing, you would probably not need their permission. If you put that same picture on the cover of the book, you probably should get their permission."

It all looks a bit vague to me and seems to vary a little from place to place, but it does seem that the safest route is to ask for permission. That being the case, I think I shall probably stop taking pictures of people!!!

Sleep well!

Chris

Hi Chris..
I'm sure there are different roules in every country..I don't know, but in DK we are allowed to use photos of public places...and 'growd'photos if they are NOT offensive in general or can embarras (?? ) the people. You're NOT allowed to use photos where the mail objects are people ( like here ) if they are not being asked and you have received their allowence. CLEAR!!?? ;-) Naaaa... it's a difficult law...so.. I would never upload anyone without asking first...mostly out of politeness...and at school we got every parents allowence to show their kids on the homesite etc...
;-)
Sleep tight...

No, Merete, I confess I didn't ask for permission!! Should I have done? Is there a 'rule' about such things? Does it make a difference if the person's not the main subject? I've seen whole galleries of people shots on photobase and I just don't see how the photographer could have approached every person to get their permission!

If you know the answers, please get back to me ~ I'd be interested to know. In the case of this couple, I felt the viewer can see little enough detail so I had no worries about uploading it.

Still I want to do the right thing, so please get back to me?

Best regards, Chris

Hm..are they happy??? She is biting her nails...of some reason..and he's looking the other way...perhaps he's thinking about how to escape!!!??? :-)
I don't know...but I see it's a wonderfull shot..as always...so clear..and bright! Just brilliant...

Cheers
Merete

PS. Did you ask for permission to upload this couple???? ;-)
