About Fantastic day off with our good friends, Henry & Jennifer ~ my 'Nikonian friend' and his wife. We drove up to the Longleat Estate, walked to 'Heaven's Gate', then down towards the main road to Longleat House. The views were amazing!

Here's the first in a new mini-series. I hope you like it!

Best regards to all my brilliant UF friends!!

Glorious view and terrific composition Chris. How on earth did you stop your companions from sitting on that seat long enought to take the pic. I'd have sat there all day!
Thanks for the update to Margaret re Roland. Our thoughts and best wishes are always with him.

It has something of the feel of a Turner--the colours and textures, anyway. The English countryside is looking its best in this one.

Boy is it EVER a nice place for a seat, now just bring in the foot stool and a back rest....maybe a cute little wood table with iced tea, or hot tea.....opps! on to your picture___

Wonderful lighting, everyday must be a good day where you live!! Perfect composition and the grass looks like velvet, just a gorgeous scene Chris! Nice work, (I use the word 'work' lightly)
Lori :)

Thanks for asking, Margaret.
Roland's a bit up and down at the moment.
He's having trouble with fluid retention in his head.
They've put a drain in, but it's not really doing the business.
He's had to have another lumber puncture and has been very sleepy.
He's longing to come home but won't be able to until they get the fluid problem under control.
Thanks for your concern.
Best regards, Chris
