About I took this shot of a near perfect camelia in a green house at Arlington Court on Monday afternoon. What a fabulous thing of beauty it is!! I hope you enjoy your brief look at it?

Have a great Sunday! I'm away speaking at a church in Exmouth, some 40 miles from our home. I'm looking forward to seeing some old friends?

Best regards to all,

Chris

Great with those white edges on the petals which defines them so well .. Peter (i'm definitely taking some flowershots too, once a year one can explode in flower-colours without being looked upon ;-)))

Hi Mike,
Thanks for the comment.
This shot was taken with an ordinary 18-70 lens focussing in at around its minimum distance of 1.2 feet, or 350 cm's.
Kind regards, Chris

There is nothing "just about" it! Do you use a macro attachment, or is it part of the lens?

It IS a beautiful example, isn't it! Now that I can take macros, I'll have to see what I can find in the way of flowers. (Macros are a lot harder than I thought but you inspire me to keep trying!)
