Thanks Michael. Actually, this lighting is "as is." This chair was given to my husband (it's well over a hundred years old) and it's sitting on our carport for the time being. Thanks for your time!

Hi Kathy,
You asked me for a suggestion. I would have tried to dim the flashlight a little, or use indirect lighting. But on the otherhand, I think you've tried that already.

Kathy, this is a perfectly wonderful image: it makes me feel good. I enjoy the colors (an aged look) and the composition, the depth of field (dof) is excellent, and the eyeglasses add the perfect touch, especially because they are clearly bifocals that probably belong to a well-seasoned reader. ...Gab

very nice composition. regarding the over exposure problem, bracketing/EV-compensation may work.

Thank you so much for viewing my images and for your nice words. I agree about the overexposure of the pages. I fought it for quite some time and finally gave up...any suggestions? Also, I'll play around with the suggestion from you and Susie for the Water Grass image. That will be fun. Learning, Learning, Learning!

Waauw, I like this one. Unbelievable what a simple frame adds to a picture. I think I'll start doing that myself ;-)
The side of the book is a bit overexposed, but it doesn't disturb me. Well done!
