Roberto - Thank you so much for taking the time to look at and comment on my photo. I was out of town and missed seeing your July 20th BIP for "Breakfast in the Meadow." After looking at that photo - very well deserved and congratulations - and then the rest of your portfolio - WOW! You have a wonderful eye for a shot and your landscapes are beautiful. I looked through your whole portfolio and the variety of captures you have shared on usefilm is wonderful. Thank you so much for sharing your talents - what a teacher you are for us that are new to photography. Jan

You are correct Ciprian - however, the little bit more in price between the Quantaray and the Sigma or Canon was twice as much or more than what this one cost me, and just didn't have the extra $ to spend on one of the more costly lens. Will start saving my money again, so that my next lens purchase really does what it is suppose to do - once I learn how to use it of course. Jan

So gorgeous, makes me sad that I didn't have the time to plant sunflowers this year.

Hi Janice,
In all honesty I've never heard of Quantaray. Looks like you are getting decent results with it, but sometimes is well worth investing a little bit more.
I like my Sigma better than the Minolta lens that came with my camera.
Anyway, keep practising, I'll see you later.
Regards, Ciprian

Ciprian - thank you and sorry I should have included the maker of the lens. Couldn't afford the Canon or Sigma or even a Tamaron at this time - this is a Quantaray. Having nothing to compare it to, and not many people out there using a Canon SLR Digital Rebel XT (EOS 350D) I don't know much of anything about the Quantaray - except the price. LOL Jan

Beautiful detail and colour; sunflowers can be such a good subject. What is your new lens, is is a Canon or or Sigma etc?
It's pretty sharp!

Thanks Margaret - I am having fun, but I have great hopes that my learning ability is still intact as I start my first of six photography classes tomorrow night! I have a lot of photography learning to do, but then all of life is a learning experience. Jan
