About	I love taking hummingbird shots. Yesterday was a very rainy day here and I spent some time taking hummer shots. I am just fascinated by their quickness and colors. I hope you like it.

Thank you Kay,

The thing that has made the biggest difference in my hummer shots, is turning down the power of the flash to get a flash of shorter duration. If you notice on this shot, the shutter speed is only 1/125 sec., far too slow to stop the hummer's wings, but the flash power was only 1/4 or 1/8 full flash. This give a flash of much shorter duration than full flash, thereby giving a much better wing rendition and normally possible. Keep trying. I'm still learning and haven't gotten to the quality that I have seen from others.

wow very nice job getting the hummer in flight, nice timing, the colors and detail are great, this is not a easy shot. well done....
