Richard this is simply stunning! It reminds me of some sort of prehistoric image, or a scene from Planet of the Apes, the warm tones and smoothed simplicity of both the rocks and the tree work brilliantly together, I love how nature compiles images and hopes we find them! Well done, really good.

Hi Luisa
This was the first morning I was on Skiathos and the only time I saw the beach looking like this. I was very fortunate. BTW, the title is a dreadful pun (for which I apologise) - digital photography is a bit of a sunrise industry, but this is such a global community I shouldn't expect so much people of people for whom English is not their first language, should I :)

I think you did a great job Richard by deciding to go there this year. You really showed nature in its beautiful display, not touched by any kind of manmade work and so. Regards.

Thanks for your kind comments. It was fascinated by the driftwood I saw on the beaches last year in Kefalonia, so this year I went looking again on another Greek island. I didn't have to go far- this was our local beach. I took many photos there because the shapes were so interesting and the light was really special.

It is beautiful indeed. The angle you chose to shoot was perfect since it framed great details. The branches have "weird" shapes but really beautiful. The lighting helped showing the details here superbly. Well done.
