About Caught me by surprise when I went out my front door just as it was getting dark to see this hibiscus in full bloom and to catch it before it folded up for the night. Haven't done much night photography with this camera, so was even more surprised when this turned out to be a halfway decent shot. This bloom was the only one on the tree and it was gone the next day. Hasn't been another one since.

Very nice composition Jan, I love the hibiscus, they are great to photograph. You have wonderful color and lighting, it looks as if it is reaching out towards us. Alison

You have Hibiscus trees. We have an Hibiscus plant that Paul nurtures and talks to and fertilizes. Every so often, it treats us to a beautiful bloom. Every once in a while in the summer we get three at a time. They are lovely plants. Our Christmas Cactus put on a show lasat week--always seems to around your thanksgiving. I didn't really get a great shot though, unfortunately. Now, I have a long wait until it blooms again. It is a very large, magnificant plant. Your Hibiscus shot looks so real, it could be sitting on my desk.

They are so beautiful. We have one that we are nursing along. The rabbits almost killed it until I fenced it in and it is coming back slowly. This doesn't look like night. Don.
