She is so cute ..she looks like a little flower fairy ..like the effect of the b/drop.. although myself i would have kept it normal and enhanced the colours..lovely picture though.. nessa

I thank you Dalila, and I agree I was a little disappointed when I found that I did not get as sharp on the focus as I should have. Next time its going to be performed with a tripod and a remote. I think I may improve when I get my new canon 20D. I appreciate your critique and it will help me improve.
Best Regards,
Garold

It's a good picture but critically I wish her foot weren't cut off and I'd like her to be a little more crisp.

Thanks Collin for commenting on my pic, thanks for the advice too, as you can see I havent had a lot of practice taking that kind of shot. It just came up while i was out enjoying the scenery.
I will try panning the subject next time, making sure of keeping steedy and not falling in may be a problem lol. Anyway thanks again.

Great action shot Garold. The beauty of continous drive is you usually get one good one. If the shutter speed is too low & you're getting a lot of blurry images you could perhaps try panning with the kayaker whilst maintaining the continuous drive mode.
Regards,
Collin.

i'm just trying to imagine his feelings...what is he thinking about in this moment? looking at the flames which are burning all his memories. the way he has put his hands on his waist shows that he's given up! i wish i could see his eyes! i think it's the way we look at the moments which have gone!
nice idea dear Garold!
bravo!

Thank you, Cathy for your input. I was a little bit concerned about the mirror image being clear when I took the shot. You know how it is when you have your mind made up as to how it should look. Oh well I'm glad I took a few others without my hang-up. I have to say I like the shot whether others do or not. LOL
I went to your portfolio and found your photographs especially of the boy looking through the hole in the tree and will go back to comment on it when I'm not so fatigued.
Best wishes,
Garold

I think your right Carlen. I also believe the second tree is very distracting and from where I can get the shot the tree is always in the way.
As for going back it will either be in the spring next year or maybe summer. Football season is on me and I have been working about 16 hours a day on that even though school is still out. Next week begins 7 day a week schedule. I will try to find time to work some more PS on this image.
Thanks friend for your attention,
Garold

Sounds like you already did quite a bit of post-work, but have you tried cloning out the 2nd tree? I think that would improve this photo greatly because it cuts off the falls at the moment. Still a good shot though. When are you going back?

the blurred reflection shows the clarity of leave better. it seems that the water is a thick liquid which hardly let the leave move. also there is a nice contrast between soft mirro like water and the rough ground!
bravo dear Garold!
