The flower in the foreground is a nice contrasting element both from the standpoint of color and texture. Good control of DOF. bets bill

I think if you got closer to the ice cakes and the front of the hull (just oriented a bit more to the right) may have produced a nicer composition. Too much going on here and no central focus point. Other wise good DOF and color. Bill

Very clorful image and relatively good composition. In my opinion the foreground might be cropped and maybe a bit off the top to give the image a more panoramic feel. Best bill

Nice foreground focus and composition. I like the curves of both leaf and flower. The right side of the image might be improved by toning down the highlight on the leaf. It tends to compete with the flower buds in the center. Best bill

I believe that something caught your interest, something that you are not fully aware of, call it intuition? I find this to be a pleasing composition, especially the interesting foreground and the beautiful colors in the sky. My only suggestion is that it might have been slightly better if you caught the boat left of center of the frame, (in front of the sun?) Best bill

Emgy: You have made death beautiful. Nice color and texture in this image. In my opinion the highlights might be toned down a bit (leaf surfaces) and the hot spot in the upperleft might also be reduced in intensity. Best regards bill

Emgy;Just returned from the tropics to see this! I love the 2 dimensionality of this image and the simplicity of the subject and the complexity of the pattern. I beleive that the plant is an azalea (check for pink/magenta or white blooms in the next month or two). Best regards, bill
