Wow, nice catch. And props to this gymnast. That is a increadible wolf jump.
Yes, I too love that you can see the coach. So often at meets they fall into the background and aren't notices by onlookers. But they are never far and always paying attention.

such beautiful colors and lighting. This is very well composed. The wrinkles in the backdrop are a little distracting but those could be easily removed in PS.

The B&W tones are very nice however it seems to be lacking some creativity in the composition. I just feel with the lines in the window and the way the person in sitting a different angle would have produced a more interesting view.

Nice catch. I bet you weren't expecting this when you snapped that shot. Seeing the bat totally stopped with the ball still slightly blurred with motion makes it all the more interesting to look at.

Great shot with the coach and the gymnast. You are seeing one of the best coaches in the nation at work here. Before coaching college Steve Nunno, coached Shannon Miller who is the most decorated gymnast in US history.
Very cool!!

Nice catch by the photographer and hopefully for the gymnast. I am begining to see that you definitely have a nack for capturing some great gymnastics on film. It is not an easy thing. In fact, you caught this skill so perfectly that with one quick look I can tell you it is a full twisting tkachev. Cool!!!

You are definitely getting better at with these vault shots. This one is superb. I love the angle of the shot. It makes the photo much more interesting as this is not a normal angle you would watch a vault from.
P.S. If you are ever in Michigan let me know. I would love to have to come to my gym and take some photographs.

I have done a lot of experiments with cyanotypes. This one is a good start. Cyanotypes tend to be a little more grainy than a regular print, but you can reduce the grain by using a paper that has very little or no tooth. Watercolor paper usually works the best.
It also seems to me that the whole image is kind of flat. When you are doing cyanotypes you want to have a really contrasty neg. Usually around two to four stops over exposed. That will allow the blue to get really dark while still being able to retain some pure whites in the higlights. Keep shooting and working with this process you are on the right track.
Good Luck
P.S. I have a few cyanotypes and vandykes in my portfoloio if you want to see some more examples.
