I think the background adds to the photo, even though it is busy, because it tells the story for us. Otherwise we wouldn't know that this man was a fisherman -- even though his clothes do tell the story a little too. I really like this photo and maybe it is because it reminds me of my grandfather. I never knew him, but the stories I have been told tell me of a man who loved to fish. I like what you've captured here and the sharpness, color, etc is just amazing. The way the man is positioned on one side and the background on the other is also very interesting. You've added an interesting background in 70 percent of the photo, faded, and then the subject in focus on the other 30 percent of the photo Interesting composition choice.

Great idea, but the grass seems to cover her a little too much to me. We can't really see her face at all. I love the choice of black and white though and again -- the overall feel of it!

Great action shot here. Nice job with it. too bad you weren't at a different angle, but it is good considering you didn't get the blur of the movement in the shot that might could have ruined it, but then again...it could have added to it! :-)

The title suggests you are focusing on the little girl and if this is the case then I would move the camera a little more toward her. Interesting idea for a photo too!

I have no idea what one would do with a photo like this -- hang it on their wall, but gosh it is lovely! The water droplets and the way you captured them are amazing! Very lovely!

I agree that a crop might work too, but I like how the other colors add to the whole composition. Maybe that is just me.

Onur: Thank you -- interesting observation there. It wasn't something I conciously thought of -- about the horizon that is. NOw that you point it out I can see your point. Thank you so much for the advice.
Ronny: Thank you as well :-)

The car is actually abandoned -- by my father over a bank behind one of his parent's fields and it is a 1951 Plymouth. I did take some other close-ups, but they didn't come out like I wanted them to. I think I will try again, with some true black and white film. Thanks Andy and Ronny.

I would have gotten in a little bit closer for this photo to avoid the large space and really the lack of anything being in the background. Getting closer would have helped to have focused more on the lady and her role there instead of on the dim background around her, which is a little distracting. With all of that said, the woman still has a lovely smile and is a great subject to shoot!

It is too bad that she is not in focus more, but I agree that it is a cute idea. Seeing her face with the people in the background might have been a neat idea too!

Great colors here and I like her pose. If your going for the fashion, though, what about panning all the way down to show all of the dress? Maybe that is just me. Her expression is great too and it is nice to see a model that seems natural and not a fake blond...don't ask what I meant because I didn't mean it as bad as it sounded! :-)
