this is an interesting long exposure experiment,Konstantine,with good composition and correct metering.
probably the car was moving slowly,otherwise the road wouldn't be so well lit. am I right?

For my taste this is more interesting because of the nice '''pose''' that did the chameleon. Also the lighting is better and support the texture of its body.

i like this composition more than your previous post. it seems to have better balance. what are you using for a light source? if you added a fill light from behind I think the subject would standout from the background better adding to the depth of the photo. great picture.

I like this image much more than the other one! It seems more like a drawing,or a cartoon to me than a real chameleon.And I find it very funny :-)
The sharpness issue is a painful one,and I think the best you can do is to have your negatives professionaly scanned and then work on them. As for usefilm,I haven't noticed a degradation of the original image,unless of course it's bigger than 640px.

kosta, thanks for the comment. The original image is much sharper as is the scanned one too. In usefilm after uploading the image, usually the sharpness is reduced. I'm uploading a sharper image hoping that it will look better.

well,Kosta...I think Jeff is right about a lighter background. I like the composition and the nice lighting of your picture :-)
Such an image should be a bit sharper,I think,but that's probably the price we have to pay for scanning prints,instead of buying a nice digital slr! :-P

I like the composition and lighting. I find the black bg mutes some of the overal emmotion of the picture, for me. I would suggest experimenting with bright colours in the background. Sometimes I hang up a fine piece of silk, just enough to catch some light to show its color. I think this photo would really jump out with a light blue or magenta bg. Great photo.
