Justin - I have been away from usefilm.com for awhile and was surprised to receive a comment on my Aerial Bike photo. You are, of course, correct. Karl, the rider was doing a 360 off a quarter pipe when I snapped the photo. I had been photographing Karl for about two years and was very familiar with his riding. I had a new flash, a Nikon SB-80DX, that day and had set the camera to shutter priority and rear-curtain sync. I was leaning against the quarter pipe. His front wheel was literally inches from me and I took the photo at the right moment. I still do skateboard photography which I have photographed for about six years. While I still shoot film, I started to shoot digital with a Nikon D70. I had been worried about shutter lag with digital but that is not a problem with the D70. I continue to use film due to the telephoto factor of the D70 as I am a wide angle shooter. I have looked at your photos - they are very good. Thank you for your comment. I like seeing skateboard shots in B&W. I also like the low angle of this one. The effect of the overhead lights is interesting.

Good alternative view - it works!! I like the motion and I like the "no photoshop at all" part.

Good street photography. Isn't the 24mm about a 35 on the D-100? I think 35mm is the best overall street focal lenght there is.

Great street shot. There is something in it that makes Pino likable and I like the general mood. Thank you for your comments on JFK. I was such an idealist and optimist at 15. Now I still try - but is so hard to keep the cynicism at bay.

This one is really good Scott. Why you haven't gotten more credit it for it I don't know. The Auora was really amazing up here in Montana. As far as suggestions for night sky photos - do what do - experiment. It seems to work. Post more as I am a night sky buff.

I do like your photos Ryan - surely a filter was used with this one? The book on derelict buildings I was referring to is "Gone: Photographs of Abandonment on the High Plains" by Steve Fitch.

Ryan - I saw a book recently of photographs of derelict buildings and I thought of doing that myself. This is a good one with the house straght or almost straight - the road leaning to the left and the porch leaning to the right. I like it.

This is a terrific BMX photo. The use of the super wide angle lens is certainly the way to go in this type of photography for dramatic effect. I am a big fan of BMX and BMX photography. Keep posting them.
