Very nice land/seascape Love the colors of the lighthouse. I wonder what the "oelisk" on the right is. Is it an older lighthouse?

Very nice intimate shot. Her pride in her daughter is plain to see. Lovely light and colors.

Very Esher-esque abstract. Wonderfully well done.

Nice shot. I would suggest cropping quite a bit of the "dead" space on the right. You might want to turn it into a square image.

BTW, you might want to correct the title of this pic. The animal is not a panda, but a koala.

Cute portrait, cuter model. Looks like you may have used a diffuser. Did you? I guess it works here.

Great shot. May be you can increase the saturation a bit in your favorite photo editor.

Great picture. Brave souls, these, dancing over that line of bursting crackers!

Too bad so few are left. They add so much to the ethnic and cultural diversity of the city and the country. Has there been any resolution on their status? I've met a few who have migrated to the US!

Very nice macro showing defensive mimicry. It's great that his/her head is pointed to the camera!

Technically, did you use flash on this? On-camera? Ring?

Nice timing, Claude. I would have liked to see a bit more detail in the interior, especially on the cow. May be a touch of fill flash at low power?

Any time, Roger:-) Reciprocation will be appreciated too. Didn't mean to be harsh, just that I preferred the landscape version. I would have loved to have been there. Honestly, I can't see the "lean"; my balance organs must be fading:-)

Great macro capture. However, it looks like the bee moved out of the plane of focus and at that aperture you did not have enough DoF to keep her sharp. Still, an amazing image. The pollen sac on the leg showing quite clearly.

One of the toughest jobs the park staff have is a daily head count of these creatures in that environment. Even if it is a "park" the environment is very close to their original habitat - high, steep craggy cliffs.

Not personally ;-) I like her dancing though:-) I wonder what she's peddling here that sells for 50 paise.

I know MG Road in Kolkata very well. Used to be Harrison Road. One of the noisiest places in the city.

The verticals are tilted in this photo, but I think that contributes to the mood of the guys straining under their load.

The landscape version works much better, IMO. The bland sky is the issue here, but I suspect cropping it drastically will not really improve it.

Looks like a very tranquil place.

I like Keith's suggestion of cropping the top, may be to the top of the "tree line" on the right.

Great wide-angle perspective, Claude. The strain on the men is palpable, and the ironyof the ad is remarkable.

Good close-up, but a little greater DoF would have kept the entire leaf in focus. Nice choice of color for the frame.

Very interesting PoV, Gerhard. I always find it hard to do justice to these very large monuments, especially when they are closely surrounded by other structures. This is an even more serious problem when the structure is as ornate as the Duomo of Florence. At least we didn't have to contend with ugly overhead cables!:-)

Roger, it's good to see you back. Hope your troubles are resolved soon.

The contrast between the statue and the cleaning lady is remarkable indeed. Very well spotted.

If you think SLR shutters are slow to respond, you should try a "prosumer" or lower grade digital camera, especially in poor light. One reason I haven't gone digital yet - the ones I like, I can't afford, yet:-(

This is a wonderfully tranquil picture. So reminiscent of Venice, down to the bridge! The light and exposure are both perfect and the lamp on the right adds just the right degree of warmth. Very nicely done.

James, Thanks for your compliments. Murano is indeed the island of the glass factories. The glass works were "relocated" to that island way back when in order to reduce the fire hazard to the city.

The colors are really remarkable and seeing people "drive up" in their own boats for ice cream in the evening is a very unusual experience.
