Interesting abstraction. Like the lighting. I am in two minds about recommending a more symmetrical cropping.

Thanks for your kind words, Roger. I've actually been away from Usefilm as I've been very busy this past year. Now I have some time on my hands and can get back to occasionally posting photos again.
We haven't moved back to India. We tried that once for a while. Not again till retirement :-) We just got back from a brief trip to India during which we spent a week travelling through Kerala, not too far from Chennai. So, expect to see a series of pictures from Kerala as fast as I can resize my images.

Nice framing again.
I'm getting nostalgic and I just came back from India two months back. Unfortunately I did not get to visit the Northern cities this time around.
The entire image seems to be tilting to the right a bit. Is that the scan? May be you can correct it in PS or equivalent. Also, image seems to be lacking sharpness. Again, it could be the scan and a bit of Unsharp Mask in PS can fix that easily.

Wonderful framing. I had a similar shot from 30 or so years ago in a 2x2 slide but can't find it now, o course :-( Also, I would recommend a square cropping, eliminating the extra pillar on the right.

Great shot, Claude. The man at the lower right adds that wonderful human touch. I find it interesting that the Indian chapter was the third. Members of the Theosophical Society in India, particularly Annie Besant though I'm sure there were many more important ones, played a very important role in the early years of the Indian independence movement.

Very nice image; timeless and from the heart. Technically there may be some things that could be improved or corrected, but the image has great impact. I love the expression on the face of the child and the contrast with the woman's expression. Also interesting is how that contrast seems to be reflected in the lighting on the two individuals.
