Kel, I will never take liberties and re-do another's pic. Try this and see what you think. Crop it a lot lower on the bottom. Have the stones be the lower edge...and crop it just a bit on the top lowering the sky. It should make for a better look. More like actually walking perspective. Jim

Kel, Great eye...and Illinois is just one hell of a place for pics. Perfect reflection... Thanks for the comment on my pic, but more important...there are 102 counties in Illinois...which one are you sitting in?
Off ta look at more of your portfolio---I do so love this state....

This old barn has a commiserating effect on me. I wonder what it may have looked like years ago. It appears there may have been a roofed shelter or addition on the right side. Very good photo. I bet it was taken early afternoon. I liked your fireman scene also.

I prefer the B&W version. Minimal color information really contributes to the overall mood of the image. Very nicely done. I love cemeteries (will soon be residing in one) but unfortunately most people try to ignore the fact of ultimate fate.

Awesome shot. Not only is it a great shot from a photography standpoint, but the emotion captured is amazing. I'm a huge animal lover, and you can almost feel the fear and loneliness in his/her eyes. I do hope this little guy made it outta the dumpster!

Nice mood to this photo. Looks like the tree may be ready for the cemetary. I think the tree is a bit too central. Maakes for a static image. Otherwise an excellent photo.

Absolutely great photo from the technical view! Why! Because of the colours and the details. Especialy the green at the ground looks very nice! Ok...perchaps the cables can be deleted using the clone tool of PS but this is not big deal. Best regards, JH.

A good capture with perfect colour and focus. The look of fear in the Racoons eyes is very disturbing. A very emotive subject the destruction of wildlife habitats. We have the same problem with urban foxes and I regulary see one in my garden.

Kelly - i really like the feel of your image here. I don't think the diffusion hurt anything. There are two suggestions I would offer but they are kind of related. First, crop off a bit of the top. The white sky in pulling my eye up and making me less sensitive to the nice stuff below. I've taken the liberty of doing such a crop. An alternative would to be to move to the right and re shoot. If the trees co-operate that would give a dark sky but the light grass and a stone would be illuminated as if from above. Just my 2 cents. Keep shooting youre doing well. John

Hey, I love this, I think a few things would help it out I gave you 6,6,7,7,7 now I think if you moved the barn a little to the right, and show more of the left it would give a better feel for the composition, and if you upped the saturation and maybe contrast it would give alot more impact, I really liked this though...

The classic red barn, done well. The wire hanging down upper left is a distraction and could be easily cloned out (if you have the software).

Very sad about the coons, but pray that they don't become extinct. In Calcutta (India),we've almost killed off the jackals. No not by hunting, just by encroaching. Regards.
