Interesting shot...someone else took the exact same shot as this, or...maybe it's yours? You tell me.

Nice shot...what a great bridge. The coloring is well done. I would have preferred the shot 5 steps forward, losing the tree and the path, but that's my preference.

Regards.

Beautiful subject, technically perfect. Sorry about your dad, but you've made a good choice for the money he left...your photos make others happy, including me. Nice work.

But I am curious about the lens/camera combo...you have more info on this?

I love it! So sharp it hurts. I think this is a great photograph of a great camera, and it warms my heart that it seems to be in fantastic shape too! I had one at one point in my life, but I sold it. My stupidness haunts me to this day.

Thanks for the shot!

Interesting...a door hinge from a cupboard, right? DOF is a bit soft, but I see what you're getting at.

Fantastic, Gustavo. Hope your Niva is safe, as well as yourselves. An excellent documentary shot, even if it was the result of the promise of beer! Take care.

Goats have the weirdist eyes, don't they? I like the idea of the viewfinder...very interesting.

What an incredible shot...I usually cruise the thumbnails pretty quick, but this one stopped me dead in my tracks. Make sure you make a few hi-res copies of this one (and don't trust them to CD's...you may not be able to read it in a few years!)

Again, incredible shot.

There must be an easier way to wash your car in that country Do you have any more info on the shot? The story would certainly add to the meaning of the shot.

This photo...something's not quite right. No other shots in the portfolio? You must be military, and if you are, you should know better than to release photos like this. As Dragan mentioned, I'm eager to see some more details for this photo.

Nice shot. Tones are excellent. Your camera shows so much detail, that for a portrait like this I would probably prefer even more skin-softening. The attachment is a suggestion only - I like your photo very much.

Pretty warm-looking shot. I'm not going to critique the color balance, but I think a polarizer or a touch of PS would really help the tones of the shot. Composition is nice. There's noise all along the outlines of the objects in the photo? It might be my monitor, don't hold me to that.

I like your style. Your portfolio shows awesome imagination too. I like this one because it's almost like a photograph of emotion, with a hint of reality instead of the other way around. If I was to look through a camera that only captures raw emotion, I'm sure it would look a lot like this.

Here's a simple suggestion for a simple frame. Also, I too like the grain, but if you want to reduce it, Filter-->Noise-->despeckle may do a quick and dirty job for you. Forgive me if the lens hood vignettes were intentional, I kinda rubbed them out. If you like the frame (it's a few steps) drop me a line.

Love this shot! The only suggestion I would have is the crop. I see that the sign is important to the context of the shot, but I felt the subjects were a bit off. In the example I've forwarded, I've left as much of the sign as I could while shifting the weight of the shot more towards the center. Hope you don't mind.

Again, an excellent photograph!

The blurring and grayscaling have made this subject look like a miniature. I had a peek at the uncropped one and it looked real enough, no question. What a bizarre effect...do you see it too, or am I just going blind?

The composition is much better this way (in my own opinion of course).

I really like this shot...the only thing that kind of throws me is the green tag on the tree in the upper-center of the shot. A quick shot with the clone tool will fix that no problem.

Hi Joshua,

Have a peek at the photo I'm sending, and let me know if this sharpening technique appeals to you or not. If it does, feel free to e-mail me at smiki@shaw.ca for details on how to do it. The technique is a bit long-winded, because it's a sharpening technique that's great if you want some more intense sharpening to a particular object in your photo, but there are other areas you may not want sharpened at all.

Scott.

It's amazing the depth of field you can get with f4. Aside from that, is that you in her glasses?

A very nice capture. You're a brave soul, in the line of fire with an EOS 3 and a L series lens! Brad has a great suggestion about a square image...I could see that really working, as the model's head is almost dead-center on the table axis.

Razor sharp. I love herons, and this is a fantastic shot. The DOF is very pleasing...all the bird is there, but still a nice background blur. Kudos to you, Ronnie.

Piotr, you have a great eye. This photo would make me proud if I had created it. The expression of the model is perfect: awestruck, confused, overwhelmed. The ccolors and composition are just right. My regards to you.

What an interesting-looking bird. I can honestly say I've never seen one like this before. The detail is incredible, right down to his little tongue. Perfect timing on the bird's positioning...I like this one very much.

It's beautiful. I'm crazy for this shot. It could have been taken at varying degrees of vertical, but the one you chose is just right. I especially like the fact that there are people in the shot, but you don't really notice them if you don't want to see them.
