Hi Gayle! Congrats on turning 4 today! I'm also celebrating, having just turned 25000! (Does anyone really look at these numbers? Well, obviously I do...)
What a fabulous view to have when the weather is fine. To be honest, I'd prefer it without the fake rays and text, but then I'm just a miserable git!
BTW, stick with PSP 8 or 9: apparently since JASC was taken over by COREL 10 and 11 are retrograde steps...
With best wishes for Christmas, AJ

Cat tails? I think these are bull rushes on this side of the river! But if we stick with your terminology, that one in the middle sure looks like a street cat that's seen a scrap or two... Original composition.

I've always enjoyed how cat-tails just sort of ...disintegrate. Like this one.
Unless you cut them early and bring them inside. I have some cat-tails in my livingroom that I cut and gave to my mother ...um... (carry the one) 33 years ago.

Hi Ms. Gayle! Last time that moving experience happened to me a lot of negatives & film didn't make it. Hope that doesn't happen to you!
This is an interesting full-frame perspective of cattails. They seem to have an alien presence, or something like that. Getting ready to attack, perhaps! A fine B&W print.
My kids think these are pretty cool when they twist them in their hands causing a big burst of seeds!
Cheers, Kes :)

Hi G, the hardest shot to get is the bird comming at you, make sure first and foremost that you have the camera in sports mode, I believe that is the only mode on the N60 that has focus tracking which will continue to keep focus with moving subjects (focus tracking or AI servo) any non tracking mode will leave you a bit soft with fast moving subjects as from the time you get focus lock to the time you actually depress the shutter though may be as little as 100th of a second is enough for it to move enough to render a soft photo.........
Anyway I did get your email and have it ready to reply to, things have been a mess here, backed up with work etc.. the usuall stuff, I just stopped in here to see that POS mark julian is using me for an example of being over awarded LOL. More UF drama, you had posted here but i assume before mark let loose or you would have stuck up for me LOLLLL.. http://www.usefilm.com/Photo_Forum/22/1012132/
will reply asap girly..

simple yes, but very appealing, the branches against the nice fresh snow works well, I dont know what Zen is so I will just have to say the vague prints do add to the shot, though i dont find them leaving me a sense of scale as Riny does as i dont know if there from a bear or a cat LOL....
