Really great. Dark colors added a terrible mood to the photo. Congrats.

Thank you Carmen. This photo is amazing. Two vultures in paradise. Are they on vacation? Now, serious, this is great photo with all the "mood" colours. Congratulations.

Hi Ian, Actually it is a pedestal. The Saint statue is white and is on top of a huge black pedestal that looks like a shadow in the picture. It is the side of a hill and the ocean is about 20 meters below (something like 7 feet). Regards Mauro McChado (just kidding)

Dear Magda & Tomasz, Great photo. I specially liked her pose and smile, it seems that she is enjoying herself. I also like the other photos of people you took, like "My wife & son", "Lost in thoughts" and "Nadezda's crew". When taking photos of places, try to get close, get more involved with your subject. I believe that that series of the cemetery would be great if could pay attention to details. Best regards, Mauro Machado (mauroma@terra.com.br)

Anna Anna, always a good work. I liked the unusual composition and grainess, like old or pushed film. The composition with the arm working as guiding line is very interesting.

Wow, that is beautiful! You understand how hard is to get the perfect exposure for a bird so white. You did a real nice work here. Let me guess, the name of the ballet is "The lake of the swans"?

If I were a photo teacher I would say: "First learn to see. Everybody look at an object but only a few really see the object, the essence of the object." Well Hugo, you know how to see. Congrats for this beautiful photo.

Here is another photo that shows the other side of the vessel and also how the tide was changing quickly. In this area you have to drive for 15/20 kms. over sand before reaching a firm road, and it is not advisable to travel during the night. That's why we were in a hurry to leave. Here is my wife. And in the previous photo is me and my wife and the brave Fiat that took us there and back.

Hi Hugo, Thanks for your suggestions, I really appreciated. I thought about zoom in and take just a part of the structure, as you suggested, but it wouldn't show the huge ship's carcasse, what gives the dimension of the disaster. Otherwise, I had only a few minutes before the sun set and was limited by my camera (Nikon Coolpix 880)lens. Other point is that I was impressed by the reflexion in the water. I also thought about staying another day at the beach in order to photography this ship against the rising sun, but it would delay my trip to Uruguay. I was suppose to arrive there before Xmas with friends and family. In the picture attached you will notice the long shadows as the sun was approaching the horizon.

Classical landscape photo. Should be "editor's choice" for the dramatic black/white shadows and composition. A masterpiece.
Caro Fábio, Um fotografia clássica. Deveria ser uma escolha do editor por sua dramática sombras no preto/branco e na composição. Uma obra prima.

Ver very clichê, but...beautiful. I really liked it. The position of her face (total desolation) and the transparency of the fabric (so fragile) are great. Congratulations.
