The figure (person) in the shot is a bit distracting I guess althow it could be a good element to add... unfortunately it is not visible enough and it's too small.
great shot anyway.

I like the scene Dave and some nice colours in the sky. I would consider getting the 50mm MK II 1.8. Even though this is a fixed prime lens it's so sharp and very cheap at £55.00 I have this lens and its detail is amazing for the money.

The new mum, is actually my mum had me young 17, so I'm 24 and the little girl is my other sister (4) and Georgia is my new baby sister.

Its a little soft here Dave but thats more down to the lens rather than the photographer. What a lovely smile If your going to be doing more portraits I can highly recommend the 50mm MK II 1.8 lens. Build quality is nothing to write home about but its tack sharp and good bokeh

Previous commenter made a good point about the sharpness, and you are right to note the effect of a high ISO. Those problems though should not mask the strengths of this image: a sweet smile, natural pose, and direct gaze of a little girl. Her folded hands add nicely to the composition.
I notice that you said you had only been doing portraits for one week when you shot this. If that is the case, then WOW.
