Hi Dave, many thanks for your comment this morning. I just took a quick look through your portfolio and you have some fine images. I felt that in some cases though you haven't managed to get the best out of them. A little like what Kim wrote... so i took the liberty of having a play with this one for you (hope you don't mind) and i hope you see a difference. I straightened it a little and added a grad filter to enable a different exposure for the sky and the foreground. A bit of shading on the lighthouse etc. A great location and well worth a few visits back there. Nice to meet you and keep up the good work. Cheers from Switzerland.

For me, the composition is lacking a bit, with the lighthouse smack-dab in the middle of the shot. It feels pretty heavy in the middle, and then the shot is broken up with water on one side, and sunset on the other. Perhaps moving yourself a little more to the right (on the other side of the creek) would have put the lighthouse off centre and still had water + sunset as adding element. Looks like a beautiful location!

I like it. I like how you positioned the sunlight to the side so that it reflects on the water. I do feel it is a touch soft and could benefit from some slight sharpening in Photoshop. Nice work.
